Every engagement is approached through a structured, evidence-driven methodology designed to help organize complexity, identify critical dependencies, reduce blind spots, and support more informed decision-making.

As the platform, capabilities, and implementation continue to expand, future offerings, pricing, and access models are expected to evolve. Early participants receive the opportunity to engage with the platform during its foundational stage under the terms available today.

Layer 1 — Goal Defines the destination: What are you trying to achieve? Describe the desired end state as specifically as possible. Include any known objectives, requirements, expectations, or success criteria, even if they are incomplete.

Layer 2 — Current State Defines the starting point: Describe the current state in as much detail as possible. Include any known facts, observations, conditions, components, processes, or circumstances directly related to the problem. (anything you know)

Layer 3 — Gap Defines the navigation problem: What prevents the current state from becoming the desired state? Describe any known obstacles, failures, uncertainties, contradictions, bottlenecks, or concerns, no matter how small or uncertain they may seem

Layer 4 — Evidence Determines confidence: any available evidence that may help understand the problem. Upload documents, reports, images, videos, measurements, logs, research papers, CAD files, spreadsheets, notes, observations, or anything else relevant

Layer 5 — System Defines the search space: Describe any known components, people, software, hardware, materials, processes, environments, or systems involved. Explain how they interact if known, or simply list them if you're unsure.

Layer 7 —Unknowns Identifies knowledge gaps: What information is currently missing? List any unanswered questions, missing measurements, uncertainties, assumptions that require verification, conflicting information, or where additional research is needed

Layer 8 — History Prevents repeating dead end: What has already been tried, investigated, tested, researched, or observed. Include any known successes, failures, partial improvements, unexpected results, or lessons learned, even if attempts were informal

Layer 9 — Environment Captures external influence: What known external factors may influence the problem? Include environmental conditions, surrounding systems, regulations, market conditions, user behavior, timing, operating conditions or anything else

Layer 10 — Failure Map: Where does the problem first appears and how it develops. Include any known failure points, chain reactions, secondary effects, downstream consequences, recurring patterns, or observations, even if the complete sequence is unknown

Layer 11 — Dependencies build the dependency graphs: What are the known dependencies or related problems? anything that must happen first, anything this problem depends on, anything that depends on this problem, or any connected issues that are relevant.

Layer 12 - Success Criteria Defines completion: How will you know the problem has been solved?Include any known performance targets, acceptance criteria,measurable outcomes, functional requirements, or practical indicators of success, even if approximate

Layer 13 —Missing Navigation Determines highest value: What information, question, experiment, observation, measurement, expert knowledge, or research do you believe would most improve understanding of this problem? Include anything relevant (even small)

The free pathway is reserved for selected problems that may create meaningful public value, reduce suffering, improve safety, advance useful knowledge, or demonstrate how the Discovery Operating System can help navigate a complex real-world challenge.

A serious medical, safety, accessibility, educational, environmental, or humanitarian need
A neglected problem that has not received enough attention
A problem supported by meaningful evidence, research, records, or observations
A case that could lead to a useful public framework for others facing similar challenges
A researcher, expert, creator, company, institution, or organization able to contribute knowledge, evidence, testing, implementation, funding, or public distribution
A platform or community capable of helping the finished framework reach the people who need it
A problem with strong potential for measurable improvement or future development

Who could benefit from the finished framework? *
